Diego Romay has made a great international contribution and is a vital promoter of Argentinian culture by presenting internationally his acclaimed award-winning Tanguera, an innovative tango musical, which has been a smash hit in the most prestigious venues around the world, among them: New York City Center, Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London, Théatre du Châtelet in Paris, Teatro Alcalá in Madrid, Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin and Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Osaka, among others.

Throughout his outstanding career producing and licensing musicals, Diego Romay, as a playwright has created and invested in new and original productions such as CARAVAN The Jazz Musical which received critical acclaim for its artistic direction. A dance-thriller based on a story of divas and mobsters in the 1940’s when glamour, and above all the sensuality of jazz, flourished.

In 2005 Romay was recognized for his distinct visual style. His acclaimed Nativo, an Argentinean Folk Musical, reveals the ancestral culture through native and malambo dances showing the beauty of its art and esthetics fueled by heat and desire.
